The annual South African wine harvest is a time of great excitement, as wine farms pick the grapes that go into our world-class wine. Many wine farms offer the public the chance to share in the spirit of the harvest by hosting special harvest festivals and experiences. With so many harvest experiences on offer in the Winelands, we thought it would be a good idea to extend our list. Here is part 2 of The best wine harvest festivals in the Cape Winelands.

Over at Soetmelksvlei, the harvest has kicked off too, albeit at a slower pace. Here, noble mules Annatjie and Saartjie transport grapes from Babylonstoren's cellar to Soetmelksvlei, where the bunches will be sorted and stamped by foot to extract the ruby-red juices. Guests are invited to join in the fun. The experience includes freshly baked mosbolletjies, a light harvest platter, and a glass of fresh mos.
