Since this is the last month of Proe Paarl, we are offering something different - come try our "Wild Boar Forestière Burger" or a "Camembert & Bacon Beef Burger" or, for the non-meat eaters, a "Veggie and Lentil Burger".

The Cellarmaster's Reserve Tasting
Mellasat is gaining a reputation for its personal and passionate service. To give customers a more in-depth look into our wines we've introduced the Cellarmaster's Reserve Tasting. This experience is presented in the underground cellar, which is also home to the ‘Cemetery of Forgotten Wines’.
This reserve tasting of five of our premium and exclusive wines, each paired with a snack, is presented by one of our winemakers.
The tasting is R80.00 per person. Booking is essential and to keep it intimate, we only take a maximum of 8 people per session.

Winter is Red Wine Time!
During June we bottled the Dekker's Valley 2015 Revelation and the 2014 Shiraz, just in time for winter.
The 2015 blend consists of 54% Shiraz, 31% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Tempranillo.
This wine is medium to full bodied showing great berry flavours with marinated cherries and spice. It is a complex wine that is perfect for those cold winter days and/or evenings in front of the fire. The wine was matured with French oak for one year. Drink this wine now or keep for five years, although we find, if previous vintages are anything to go by, it will be hard to keep from drinking!
100% Shiraz - a medium bodied wine with mulberry flavours and spice. The wine was matured in older French oak barrels for three years. A perfect casserole winter wine.
