Pinotage and Biltong Festival 2020 – 18th & 19th April 2020 at Perdeberg Winery

Get your purple and white outfits ready, round up some friends and don’t miss out on this year’s Pinotage and Biltong Festival at Perdeberg Cellar.

The festival takes place on Saturday 18 April and Sunday 19 April from 11h00-16h00.

Mellasat Vineyards is once again taking part together with various other wineries.  Different styles of Pinotage will be available for tasting and for sale ranging from the traditional red variant to Rosé’s, bubblies, dessert wines and our White Pinotage. Each winery will have one wine paired with a Biltong flavour.

Food trucks, music, a kiddies play area and other stalls and eats makes it a day to remember out in the Winelands.

Ticket sales opened early March – by your tickets at . The cost is R250 per person on-line and R300 at the gate.  VIP tickets at R500 pp. (on-line only)

General ticket includes: Entrance to festival area, seating, branded crystal glass, 18 curated Pinotage & Biltong pairings, and 30 other wines to taste and buy.

VIP Ticket includes all of the above plus a private area with reserved seating for your group, a welcome drink and light meal on arrival, service staff, late afternoon coffee and a sweet treat.

Gourmet Burgers & Wine weekend 21st and 22nd March 2020

The burger menu is available from 11:00 – 16:00 on Saturday and from 11:00 – 14:30 on Sunday.

The menu includes delectable starters and our popular favourite toppings. Since summer is in full swing we’ll have light summer desserts to round off the meal. Some dishes include our  Harvest platter and Miso Salmon Cakes for starters and a selection of burgers with different toppings including our new Mediterranean topping, the Italian topping and the ever popular Bacon/Camembert & Onion Relish and desserts….

A kiddies menu is also available.

Gourmet Burgers & Wine weekend 21st and 22nd March 2020



Each year between January and March, the Cape winelands become a hive of activity during the official harvest season. 

On Saturday, 7 March 2020, Mellasat Vineyards will open their gates for the Run the Vines and Tread the Grapes Festival.

Run the Vines starting times are:

17km - 7:15, 10km - 7:45 and 5km - 8:00

Tread the Grapes Festival starts from 09:00 – 17:00.

Join in the harvest fun after your run! With activities such as grape stomping, tasting young wine from barrel, cork golf, vinotherapy foot massage, wine tasting, delicious food and entertainment for the kids including a jumping castle, apple bobbing and more.

If you are not running, then start your festival with our gourmet breakfast on the go, which will be served from 8:00. Our delicious lunch menu will be available from 11:30 – 16:00.
